Our Work
From desilting forgotten ponds to building rainwater harvesting systems — see how BENIR Foundation is creating a water-secure future.
What We Do
Restoring Water, Restoring Life
Lake & Pond Rejuvenation
We identify neglected village ponds and lakes across South India, desilt them, restore natural inflows, and rebuild their capacity to recharge groundwater.
Rainwater Harvesting
We design and implement rainwater harvesting structures that capture monsoon runoff, channelling it into ponds and percolation pits for year-round water availability.
Ecological Restoration
Every restoration project includes planting native vegetation, re-establishing aquatic ecosystems, and creating biodiversity corridors around water bodies.
Community Water Mapping
We survey and map traditional water bodies within a 150 km radius of Bengaluru and Chennai, prioritising restoration based on community need and impact potential.
Community Engagement
Local communities are active partners in every project — from planning to maintenance — ensuring long-term ownership and sustainability of restored water bodies.
Impact Monitoring
We track groundwater levels, water quality, biodiversity indices, and farmer livelihoods before and after every project to measure real, lasting impact.
